MARY’S XMAS COOKBOOK
Book Design | Type Design | Binding | Thesis
The goal of my Thesis project was to develop an interpretation of the word "aspire" as its subject. In response I designed a Christmas photo album cookbook centered around Goan dishes that my grandmother, Mary D’Silva, used to make during that time of year.
As one of the very few Indian-born family members of my generation, I aspired to inspire my family members to connect with their Indian heritage by bonding through food through my project.
These recipes are a part of my grandmother’s 50 year old notebook which was passed down to my mother. Each one has been updated to cook with modern day kitchen appliances. Scroll down to see the process!
